Reliability Technician

The Reliability Technician is responsible for the operation of equipment used in the Engineering department, preparation and responsibility for internal and outsourced samples for test, and for first pass analysis of test results.  The ideal candidate will be organized with a great sense for details, can communicate effectively in both oral and written formats, and works well in a team in an ever changing environment.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day operation of acoustic test equipment
  • Set-up and operation of equipment for use in reliability testing
  • First-pass analysis of test results
  • Preparation of samples for internal tests \
  • Optical inspection of electronic/MEMS chips and subassemblies
  • Preparation and delivery of samples for outsourced tests
  • Reporting of test results via verbal and written formats
  • Maintenance of reliability test equipment

Qualifications Required:

  • At least 2 to 4 years of direct relevant experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Familiarity with the operation of standard visual inspection tools i.e. binocular and stereo zoom microscope
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office products with a minimum of intermediate experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a team environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Technical or Associate degree
  • Previous experience in microcircuit assembly and/or failure analysis
  • Programming experience
  • Familiarity with optical surface profile software like Zygo/Wyco
  • Familiarity with electronic manufacturing clean room protocol
